Lu Nagata is a professional Japanese aerial dancer/actress/performer.
She studied dance, circus acrobatics and acting in New York, Hong Kong, Bristol and London. She holds a Master's degree from one of the world's leading theatre school's, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA).
A professional performer since 1998, Lu has worked for a variety of shows in theatre, media, TV and films internationally. From 2007 through 2010, as the Japanese pole gymnast, she embarked on an international pole tour to over 15 countries.
Lu opened her own dance/fitness studio "Pole Dance Tokyo" located in center of Tokyo in 2007. To date, her studio is the largest pole and aerial dance studio in Japan. Her employee and client list consists of world champion dancers and Cirque du Soleil performers. She is also a highly regarded trainer and mentor to many award winning dancers.
From 2007-2012 Lu Nagata was one of the official judges for the world pole gymnastic competitions. In Japan, she is one of the founding members of the Japan Pole Fitness Association. She works as an artistic circus/dance theater director since 2011.
Her two shows gained great success. (One of her directing theatre show `Genji - the other side of the story -` )
